CHINAMAN’S SUDDEN DEATH

A’ERDICT AT INQUEST. The circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a Chinese named Young Kee were inquired into by the Coroner (Air. AA 7 . G. Riddell, S.AI.) yesterdav afternoon. According to the evidence, the deceased was 37 years of age ’and had been living at 48 Haining Street. _ At about 11 a.m. on Tuesday he paid a visit to a neighbour, and after exchanging greetings he proceeded to tho kitchen. His rather lengthy absence there caused the occupier some concern, and, investigating, the latter found Kee prostrate on the floor. An examination revealed that life was extinct.

Medical testimony was given that the deceased had died from syncope, due to fatty disease of the heart, and a verdict to that effect was returned.
