Fingey referred- to “pretty, prosperous, and progressive AVnnganui,” adding that for prettv bungalows and fheir decoration AA’e.iingtoii was not pip to lhe standard set in AVanganui. In conclusion. Air. (>■ Gapes (Wellington) sa’d quietly that before the delegates left it was hoped to show them that Wellington hc.d some claims to beauty, and that AVanganui did not monopolise all the good tradesmen in the country.
