After inspecting , the source ot the trouble, Mr. Parr said he was satisfied that there was an undoubted fly nuisance, and ho suggested that the City- Council might pass a by-law lestricfang the quantity of stable manure tliat may be dejxisited upon a property during a year. Ho was willing to give assistance as Minister of Health if it was required. The City Council lias already decided to take action, and to go a stop further than suggested by the Minister. 'llio By-laws Committee has been instructed to prepare a by-law prohibiting market gardens in certain portions of "the city. Tho matter is at present in the bands cf the city solicitor, who is going into the legal aspect.
