A civic reception was accorded y e ®" terday by the Mayor (Mr. R. AWright) to the delegates attending the conference of the Master Painters Association of New Zealand. Mr. G. Gapes introduced the delegates, the Mayor extended to the visitors a very hearty welcome to the city. He hoped that they would find time to visit the suburbs and note the great changes that were taking place in Wellington. Brief acknowledgments of the Mayor s welcome were made by Messrs. G. Sey (Christchurch), P. Birch (Auck.and), W. Nicol. (Wellington), P. E Tingey Wanganui, and Savage (Nelson).
