He went to Bombay in 1859. and was eha.rman of tho Bank of Bonibav in 1078. lie became a professional artist on lus return to Scotland in 1881. He had a studio in Paris from 1893 to IJOB, and made many water-colour drawings ancient towns and villages in 1* ranee, Italy, and Germany.]
