AUTUMN AND AVINTER AIODES At ABRAHAAIS, LTD. The tailleur suit kept in abeyance for a season, again takes its place on an equal footing with top coats. A’elour cloth and gabardine are used in these costumes, and brown, mole. beaver, honey brown, havana brown, beige, and navy blue are the predominating colours : braid embroidery and mole and nutria fur are the trimmings. Long lines emphasise a good many of the coats, and some have a flaring silhouette. The short coats are much embellished with’fur, giving a rich Russian effect. The top coats arc altogether charming—straight, easy lines, wide sleeves with almost n wing effect, huge fur collars and cuffs —and arc both warm and decorative. Lambs’ wool is being used, and is a decided acquisition to velour cloth and clokey. Black hats predominate in large picturesque shapes, with mourAs of paradise plumes, toque feathers, ostrich quill, pom-poms, gorgeous ornaments in sequin with parrot heads, natural birds, wings, and feathers. A black hat of zanana has for its decoration a graceful osprey mount. One is struck with the richness and beauty of tl’e genera) ensemble of this show. —Advt.
