TO BOOST WELLINGTON
CIRCULARS TO BE SENT ABROAD With a view to advertising to the wqrld at large the advantages of the Wellington Province, the Central Progress League last evening authorised its secretary (Mr. G. Mitchell) to have printed 20,000 copies cf the pamphlet ho has compiled. ] “The cost of the printing,” stated Mr. Mitehell, “will bo approximately £2OO, and as the circulars will be distributed free, this amount would have to bo subscribed by the progressive people in the district. There is no cost outside the publishing, and it is felt that business people and others interested in the progress of Wellington will find the money for such a publication. It will be seen that the folder deals with the whole Wellington district, the harbour, shipping, industries, the mineral and other resources, the bays, pleasure resorts, agriculture, dairying, sheep-raising, general farming, sporting, and, in fact, all phases of our life and the possibilities of our city and district. The folder will contain about 82 photographs.” It was decided to approach the local authorities for financial assistance.
