If the numerous inquiries for prize schedules is any guide,, the entries tor the above idiow l which is to be held on the racecourse, Levin, on January. oi and. February 1,. point to being better than in any previous year. In addition to catering for the general exhibitor of stock,, which section is well served with the usual pUz money and cups, the committee are endeavouring to attract the best that can bo had in the competition classes. Included in this section are two jumping events which each carry a hrst prize of £2O. .There is also a sheep don- trial, men s> and ladies drnink, turning, bending, and other competitions, which all help to make an interesting day’s sport. There..will be the usual varied side attractions fo the benefit of both young and old who care to patronise . them. exhibitors aro reminded that entries for all c'asses except post entry events (for which entries must be made on the giounds) close with R. D. Wallace, secretary, box 27, I^ v ‘ n - on Sat , ul next, from whom schedules can be ob tained on application.
