The "Herald’s” Suva correspondent states that the hull of the schooner Helen B Sterling, which was abandoned on: Gape Maria in January, 1922. drifted on to the Middleton Reef. 300 miles east of the Clarence River, New South Viales. The captain of the steamer Suva, reports that the derelict has been carried over the reef into the lagoon. MAUNGANUI FROM SYDNEY. The Union Co.’s R.M.S. Maunganui arrived in the stream at WeHington at 730 o’clock yesterday morning irom. Sydney. After the medical clearance sh» berthed at No. 1 north Queen s Wharf at 9.40 o’clock. The vessel sailed from Sydney at 11 o’clock las^Thursday morning, and tho trip across the Tasman bea was uneventful, fine weather prevailing all t-he wav. The Kapuni is due at Wellington to morrow from Patea, and will return later in the day with general cargo. The Corinna, from Dunedin, Oamara, Timaru, and Lyttelton, is to load at Wellington to-morrow for New Plymouth, via Nelson. , ... , Ths Opawa is to sail from Wellington to-day with general cargo for Blenheim. She should return cn Thursday. From Lvttelton and Kaikoura, the Wakatu is due at Wellington to-morrow, and will return to the south the following day. Yesterday the Kennedy left Wellington fov Lyttelton. She is due back at WeHington, via Foxtoll, on Friday. The auxiliary .cow Echo arrived at Wellington yesterday from Blenheim. She will sail again for that port- this afternoon. The Wairau left. Wellington yesterday for Blenheim. She is due back to-morrow. These five vessels comprise Messrs. Levin ana .Oo.’s coastal fleet. , Last evening the Union ompany s Kakapo arrived at Wellington from Auckland. via Whangarei. She has on board a cargo of cement for discharge. To-day the Kakapo is to sail for Greymouth. Tho Ripple is to leave Wellington at 6 o’clock this evening for Napier. Gisborne, and Akitio. Bhe will arrive back at Wellington on Sunday. The Invercargill is expected at Wellington to-morrow from Wanganui, and will return the stuns evening. The Putiki is due at Wellington to-day. with a cargo of wool from the East Coast. Later in the day she win sail for Westport to load coal for Gisborne These vessels trade under the local flag of Messrs. Johnston and 00. The Kamona has been up on the Patent Slip for cleaning and painting. She will resume running to-day. sgilint- for Westport to load coal for Wellington.
