About 50 of the local swimmers, with their lady friends, journeyed out to Paekakariki Life-saving illustrations were given l>y the Paekakariki team, under Captain Jenkins, Island Bay (Captain Russell). and Alarauui (Capta n Chapman). The races wore run, tho handicappers being Alessrs. F. Chapman, A. J. Stewart, and R. Jenkins. The starter was Air. A. .1. Siow art.
