A SERIOUS CHARGE. On the application of Sub-Inspector (Jujmmfngs, James Patrick O’Brien, charged with indecently assaulting a female, was yesterda-y remanded by Mr. E Page, S.M., until to-day, bail being fixed in one security of £lOO, and two of £75. . Mr. F. Haig appeared for the prisoner. Andrew William Johnston, a labourer, 67 years of age, chained yesterday with being an idle and disorderly pers'diT, and remanded until to-day with tho object of placing him in some home, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called' upon, and on a charge of drunkenness was convicted and . ordered to pay medical ex-, nenses. He will be sent to the Ohixo Horn*.
