SHEEPOWNERS AND SAILORS
Sir,—Before the recent festive season drops too far astern, would you allow me to voice, through your paper, tlie sincere thanks of many tiny people in this city, to the trustees of the New Zealand Sheepowners’ Acknowledgement of Debt to British Seamen Fund, for their kindly thought in proilacing a modern and up-to-date Santa Claus, who, travelling by motor-car, brought presents and good wishes to all the small folk who came within the scope oi the <iind? As a seathis act appeals to me for its practical originality and shows that the administration of the fund is in good hands. I understand there are about 107 children scattered over the Dominion whom Santa Claus did not forget, and whose parents .1 am sure will wish to join with me in this letter of appreciation.—l am, etc., “TOPGALLANT RAIL.” Wellington, January 10, 1923.
