On Monday next patrons of vaudeville in Wellington will have the pleasure of being entertained by “Wee Lorna,” aptlv named Australia’s Wonder Child. She is (says a critic) paradoxically the greatest and smallest star artist I, in my many' years’ experience, have had the pleasure of listening to. Vaudeville enthusiasts’will ?e pleased to hear of the return to New Zealand of the popular Hebrew comdian, Sam Stern. He opens at Fuller’s Princess Theatre, Duuedui, on November 27. “For the Defence,” a new Paramount picture now screening at Shortt’s Theatre, is considered Ethel Clayton’s crowning achievement as a Paramount star. ' Bert Lytell in “The Right that Failed,” a Bayard Veiller production for Metro,-is to be seen this week in the star feature of the programme at the Oueen’s Theatre. . The new picture is adapted for the screen by Lenore Coffee from a “Saturday Evening Post” story by J. P. Marquand. “Trooper O'Neill,” the Fox production, starring Charles Jones, is a romance of engrossing interest and speedy action, dealing with the Canadian North-West Mounted Police, now screening at the Paramount and Artcraft.
