PILFERING IN NURSES’ HOME
To the euitob. Sir —ln. your report of the meeting of tho Hospital Board it would appear that pilfering in the Nurses Home was a serious matter, and. a reflection therefore on the nursing staff. As a matter of fact, for the past two years not a single case or dash, being (stolen from the nurses bedrooms has come before tbe boaid. Tlie nursing staff of the vv ellington Hospital is the most hardworking and straightforward bodv of ladies to be found in any hospital, and the fact that petty pilfering occasionally takes place in the home is not necessarily a reflection upon fee nurses, for, access to the bedrooms is obtained by other members of the staff for cleaning and other purposes. For some reason or other pilfering of cash in the Nurses Home has been greatly exaggerated, and it is a reflection on the members of a most honoured P r r o rossiwn.-H am, etc. J- BLILEit, ’ Member Hospital Board.
