TOUR OF MACLAREN’S TEAM NO ALTERATION IN THE PROGRAMME BT TELBGBAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION Christchurch, October 18. In connection with the tour of MacLaron’s team, the Management Committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council” has considered various applications for further matches with minor associations. It was decided to adhere to tho programme. The committee was influenced by the strong opinions expressed by Messrs. Warner and Ransford that too many matches and too much travelling had been required from teams visiting New Zealand in the past. TO PLAY FOrTwELLINGTON V. HUTT VALLEY Mr. K. Tucker, the sole selector, has chosen the following to represent Wellington against the Hutt Valley in a match to be played on Monday, Labour Day : —J. S.’ Hiddleston (Wellington), W. A. Baker (Midland), A. Bmco (Midland), S. Dempster (Institute), W. Warne (Thorndon), A. Ronaldson (Old Boys), D. C. Collins (Old Boys), W. A. Barclay (Old Bovs), M. Henderson (Y.M.C.A.), E. E. Berman (Wellington). B; Marris (Old Boys); emergency, H. Anderson (Wellington). COLTS FOR PRACTICE \ Five colts have been nominated to practice under Mr. H. Watson on the special wicket provided on the Basin Reserve for this purpose. Mr. Tucker advises that there are still three vacancies and that it is bis intention to visit"the various nets with Mr. Watson with a view to selecting promising youngsters to fill these vacancies. The five selected to date are:—hi. Henderson (Y.M.C.A.), W. A. Barclay (Old Boys). J. Banks (Institute). S. Dempster (Institute), B. Marris (Old Boys). Wellington Sports Depot (F. A.
