Tho Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., Palmerston North, report: We held our usual fortnightly sale at Himatangi on Monday last. Owing to the rough weather previous to the sale, the entry as advertised failed to come forward. However, we had a fair yarding of cattle, the bulk of which we quitted at the following values: —Sound dairy cows, £3 to £4; three-quarter cows, to £2; store cows, 17s. to 80s. Tho trawler Viking arrived in port yesterday afternoon from T imaru. She will sail later for Greymouth for fishing. The Viking- is under the command of Captain Lealo. The Orepuki, which should arrive in port to-day from Lyttelton, will sail ap-ain la'er in tho day for Gre?,mouth. The Calm is due at the end of next week from southern ports, and will proceed later to Wanganui.
