* PROPOSAL TO z RELIEVE. UNEMPLOYMENT At to-night’s meeting of the City Council a special resolution (byway of special order) will be submitted by the jMayOtt- (Mr. R. A. Wright), under the Local Bodies Roans Amendment Act, 1922. The proposal is to borrow £lO,OOO to carry out, certain public works undertaken or proposed ,to be undertaken for the relief of unemployment.
