i Men who tiro now at sea will have pleasant recollections of the splendid programme placed before them bv Airs. I. Bell, hostess, nt tho Sailors’ Friend Society on Tuesday. The performers were Afrsdames A. Sewell and L. Alaysmore, Aliss Frances Snell, and Alessrs. Barton, Ginger. Gerald Bell, Joseph Tinker, and V. Norman. Airs. A. Sew. elf was at the piano. “Safety First” was Air. Aloore’s subject in relation to temperance, and pledges followed. Tho competitions went with a swing. The prizes were presented by tho hostess and the Picton branch of the NavyLeague. They went to the Arawa and Ruaoehu. ■ '' /
