At the tennis championships at Wimbledon, Anderson (Australia) boat Turnbull (Britain), 7; —5, 7 —5, ’ 6—3, Anderson was superior with side-line drives and placing, but his service was below normal. Turnbull had a strong service. Anderson will play Norton in the second round. This is expected to be one of the most exciting and' fateful matches in the tennis championship.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
