HIS MAJESTY DECLINES A MEETING. (Rec. May 14, 11.50 p.m.) Paris, May 14. King George declined on constitutional groilnds President Millerand s proposal to meet during the tour of battlefields. The King explained that a meeting between the two heads of the States during tho Genoa differences would assume a political aspect ft was desirable to avoid. The “Sunday Timos” Paris correspondent expresses the hope that the King’s refusal will terminate the persistent efforts made bv the French Press to present the King as opposed to tho policy of his Ministers. —Aus.N.Z.
