WATERSIDERS AND COOKS .AND STEWARDS . BY ’ TELEGRAPH—PREBJ ASSOCIATION. Auckland, May 12. Special orders, reducing the wages of the waterside workers, cooks, and stewards have been made by the Arbitration, Court, the watersiders.by ljd. per hour for such timb' aS the’employers continue to pay the present rates, inclusive of the bonus of Id. per hour now being paid under the agreement, with a provision that, in the event of discontinuance of the Id. bonus the reduction shall be Jd., in lieu of Ijd. The order is to be operative from Monday next. The cooks and stewards were reduced by 16s. Bd. per month, or Id. per hour for /adult workers, and ss. lOd. per month, or jd. per hour for juniors. The Court took into consideration that the workers in;these occupations were" not given the full amount of the bonus awarded to other workers. 7 WANGANUI BOROUGH EMPLOYEES. , . BY TELBGEAPH—Pnr.ES ASSOCIATIONWanganui,; May 12. The combined sections of the borough employees held a 'meeting tonight, when the proposed wages reduction was discussed at length. A joint committee was set up to wait upon the council. '
