CITIZENS’ INTERCESSORY SERVICE

The weekly intercessory service was held in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, at midday yesterday, a large and representative gathering of citizens being present. Prayers were offered by the Rev. S- Robertson Orr, Captain difford. and Mr. H. Nimmo , Sc ?E tures were read as follows: Psalm 145 by the chairman fMr. C. M. Luke), Matthew. 13: 1-23, by Mr. A. P- Smith, and Acts 26 by Mr. H. D. Grocott. Several well-known hymns were heartily sung. Mr. Laurence F. Watkins presided at the piano.
