She carries 389 bags mail, including 378 parcel-receptacles, for New Zealand; mail due here May 10. PARCEL POST: NEW RATES. Tho inland parcel post rates are altered as follow: — ,/ For the first pound. 6d., and 2d. for each succeeding pound up to ten pounds, and Id. per pound thereafter up to 23 pounds. For parcels’ under eleven pounds, but exceeding four feet in length' and girth combined, the minimum charge is 2s. Id. The present ’'fragile" fee of 6d. is sufficient for parcels up to four feet in length and girth .combined,- but for parcels exceeding that measurement the fee is 9d. H. D. GROCOTT, Chief Postmaster.
