I ANNUAL MEETING. By Telegeaph— special Correspondent. Masterton, April 27. At tho annual meeting of the Wairarapa Returned Soldiers’ Association to-night, the following officers were elected: —President, Mr. J. Hebenton; vice-chairman, Mr. R. S. Halliwell; honorary treasurer, Mr. J. C. Miller (re-elected); honorary auditor, Mr. Norman James (re-elected); committee, Messrs. R. F. R. Bcetham, H. M. Ewart, G. Hood, J. D. Hutchi’on; T Jordan, R. Lee, G. M. Pernrain, T. A. Blake, and Rev. G. T. Brown. The treasurer’s report showed that the total assets were £226 17s. Bd., including a bank balance of £216 17s. Bd. Receipts for year amounted to £569 13s. 6d., including a balance from the previous year of £150; arrears, £l9; renewals, £262: new members, £11; subscriptions in advance, £5; diggers’ hall, 1921, £2OB 45.; annual reunion, £ll 17s. 6d. The payments amounted to £352 15s. lid., including reunion expenses. £3O 4s. : Anzao Day service, 1921, £l4 95.; diggers’ ball, 1921, £7O 7s. 6d.; and administration and general, £236 ss. 4d. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Mr. R. F. R. Beetham was elected the association’s delegate to the District Conference, te be held in Palmerston North on May 14.
