LUCAS THE CHAMPION. BY TELEOfiAPH—PBEB3 ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, April 26. The Australasian draughts tourney was brought tOtea conclusion to-night. The filial round between Boreham and Lucas was well contested, the latter winning: the coveted honour. Lucas, who is a Dunedin man, has been connected with the game for many years. He won the New Zealand championship in 1903, and was runner-up at the following tournament at Oamaru. Boreham, who also is a Dunedin man, in an experienced player, having been New Zealand champion on several oc/ roasions. In 1910 he won tho Austral-* ■'asian championship at Brisbane, and it has remained in the Dominion up to the present. '■" " The handicap match was won by G. A. Brown, tho leading scores being:—G. A.
