FEDERAL BUDGET
EXPECTED TO SHOW A SURPLUS. Melbourne, April 27. It is anticipated that the Federal Budget, which will be delivered shortly, will show a position more satisfactory than was anticipated. Customs revenue is already in extjess of tlrn Estimates, and other sources of revenue are also elastic. This, combined with the substantial reductions in expenditure, is expected to produce a surplus.—Press Assn. 40
