— (Rec. April 27, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 26. Official.—Submarine H 42 was sunk on March 23 owing to coming to -the surface contrary to orders during a dummy attack. The comtnander’s reasons are unknown. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [Tho H class of submarines are of 440 tons surface displacement and 500 submerged; surface n.p. 480,- submerged 320; surface speed 13 knots, submerged 10} knots ; armament, four 21inch tubes ; and complement 22.]
