It was mentioned at .yesterday’s meeting that an anonymous donor was also presenting the board with an enlarged photograph of the late Hon. J. G. W. Aitken.
The resignation of Mr. 11. Buddle as valuer of city leaseholds w?# accepted by the City Council with regret last evening. Mr. Buddle has been appointed as assessor on behalf of the corporation in connection with the compensation claim, Tasker v. Wellington City Corporation.
