COMBINED SPORTS MEETING.
The last event of the track athletic season will take place on the Basin Reserve this afternoon, the occasion being the combined sports of the Varsity and Wellington Clubs. Included in the programme are the primary and secondary schools championship, which carry with them the Blundell Cups, also an interfaculty tournament. Several relay events will be held, five teams having entered for the college . relay race. Among the competitors will be Munro, Wilson, Tracy. !R*>se, and Mbore. allot whom are champions in their respective events. The challenge cups belonging to the Wellington'Club will be at stake in the various competitions for / which 1 they are allotted, and as also the ’Varsity team for the coming inter’Varsity tournament will be picked on the Jay’s showing, keen racing is looked for. The school events should prove a feature of the days sport, fcs larg entries have been received, and each competitor will be out to do hisi best ft.
