CIVIC LEAGUE
QUESTIONS RELATING TO-MILK SUPPLY.
A well-attended meeting of the Civic League was held on Tuesday evening, Mr. G. Mitchell, M.P., being in the chair.
The secretary reported that copies of the constitution had been forwarded to other districts in the Dominion where a desire had been expressed m favour of forming a local civic organisation. . A comprehensive report on the miiK supply for tho city was presented by the committee which had been set up to investigate the matter. After discussion the report was adopted, with slight amendments. The question was considered whether the report should be made public at this stage. It was decided that an interview with the Milk Committee of the Citv Council bo first sought, and that the report be laid before that body, the league reserving its further action until later. The league will ask for an early meeting with the committee, as from the evidence it has secured it considers that a number of issues in connection with the milk service require urgent attention.
