- TIMARU HARBOUR BOARD’S GOOD POSITION. BY TELEGE APH—PMS3 -ASSOCIATION. ‘ Tlmaru, March 24. At tho annual meeting of the Harbour Board to-day the chairman stated that the board had paid off the debit which was shown at the beginning of the year, had met all expenses, and had started the current year with a clean sheet. There was no antecedent liability to wipe off. Referring to the board’s housing scheme for employees (eight houses being built), the chairman said that it was generally admitted that their scheme was tho best in the Dominion. Apparently the houses had cost £250 to £3OO less than in other centres.
