MOTOR-CYCLING
♦ To-day the Wellington Motor Cycle Club will run a reliabdity road race for the Bidwill-Barton Cup. Thia race or trip —for it is in no sense a race, as only points for reliability count—has been in abeyance for some years, and this time, therefore, special interest will bo taken in the results. The cup was donated by Messrs. J. Carnc-.Bid-will and Roy Barton, of Featherston, and ono of the conditions is that a ixirtion of tho route should bo through the Wairarapa. Competitors will leavo Post Office Square at 1 o’clock in parties of fotir, and will proceed to Palmerston North. Ou tho following day they will return through the Wairarapa back to Wellington. Tho machines and their riders will be submitted to strict tests. The total distance will be 235 miles. There are 29 entries, and everything points to an enjoyable week-end for the members of the club.
