DANNEVIRKE MEETING CUP WON BY AUREATE. BY TELEGRAPH—SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT. Dannevirke, March 1. For-the first day of the Dannevirke autumn meeting there was fine weather and the track was in good ordei. The attendance was small, and tne totalisator handled £13,242, “R aJn ® £28,445 on the first day of the corresponding meeting last year, a decrease of £15,203. The winner, who stripped on the big s’de, looks like turning out a good handicap horse this autumn. Pantier was the elect of backers in the concluding event, but he had no show at any stage. March On made all th© running, and should have won easily, but Earthshine got up on the inside of him, and beat him on the post.
