Four more New York brokers have suspended operations, making 35 since the recent raids upon the bucket shops commenced, says a Reuter message. An earthquake of local origin was recorded yesterday at Melbourne. The total duration, was one minute. The record shows that tho centre was within a hundred miles of Melbourne. The shock was not violent.
