e PROVISIONAL AGREEMENT WITH COMMISSION ANNUAL PAYMENT IN CASH AND KIND. BY TELEGBAPH—Pnrss ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT. (Rcc. March 1, 7.30 p.m.) Berlin, February 28. An agreement provisionally reached between the Reparations Commission and Germany provides for an annual payment in cash of a sum equal to 720 million gold marks (approximately £35,000,000) and in kind of an amount equal to 1450 million gold marks (approximately £70,000,000). The former is not to be increased if tho latter is not reached. This will be a simplification of machinery for distribution of orders for goods, which are expected mainly to comprise articles not competing with the Entente’s own industries. Steps are being taken to eliminate the middleman. —Reuter.
