At Toronto, Todd (Australia) defeated La Frambois (Canada), 6—2, 6—3, 6—B, 6—l and Anderson (Australia) defeated Bennett (Canada), 6—3, 6—o, 6—2. lhe kind of tennis the Australians have been playing is indicated in. an analysis ot the last two matches. Anderson made 27 placements, Bennett 12; Anderson 19 outs, Bennett 28; Anderson 29 nets, Bennett 31. Todd made 36 placements, La Frambois 26; Todd 35 outs, La Frambois 50; Todd 37 nets, La Frambois 48. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. JAPAN MATCH POSTPONED (Rec. July 28, 9.40 p.m.) New York, July 28. It is announced that the Mauretania fire is causing delay to the Indian team for the Davis Cup. This has resulted in tho postponement for one week of ,the match between India and Japan. The teams will meet at Chicago on August 18, 19. and 20. Tho final round has therefore also been postponed for a week, until August 25, 20, and 27. The other semi-final at Cleveland, the Australasia v.
