DROUGHT IN ENGLAND
SERIOUS OUTLOOK FOR AGRICULTURE. London, July 9. Owing to the unusual heat and tha absence of rain, the agricultural outlook is serious. Harvesting of oats and barlev has begun instead of in September. Ix>ndon and other cities are threatened with a shortage of water. Many deaths are. reported from sunstroke and heat apoplexy.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
