RETURNED SOLDIERS' BALLOT.

Fellding, June 24.

In a ballot held to-day for the Paro»»ngi soldier sections, the property purchased by the Government from Mr. E. Short; the following were successful:— No. 1 section, of 41 acres, C. Anderson (Marton); No. 2, of 35 acres, G. D. fiiplth (.Norsewood); No. 8, of 42 acres, M. Finlayson (Palmerston North);.No. 4, of 11 acres, D. L. Druitt (Paraparaumu) ; No. 5. of 33 acces, J. G. Jarrett (Ohingaiti); No. 6, of 149 acres, C. P. Fitzwater (Patea); No. 7, of 112 acres, A. J. Harland (Ohura); No. 8. of 105 acres, T. Bridgman (Waipukurau);. No. 9, of 104 acres, F. W, Scott (R-aetihi). There were 44 applicants for nine sections.
