JUDGE CONDEMNS PRINCIPLE. By Telesr&ph —Press Association. Gisborne, June 23. Severe comment on the principle of granting probation to Maori youths was made by Mr. Justice Reed to-day. The principle on this coast, he had been informed. had broken down, for Maori youths to whom probation was granted did not go back io their kaingas in disgrace, but as heroes.
