xrrY- ” OFFICIALS SENTENCED TO IMPRISONMENT. (Rec. June 22, 11.20 p.m.) London, June 21. In the Farrow’s Bank case all the defendants wero found guilty. Farrow and Crotch were each sentenced to four years imprisonment, and Hart to one year.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. (Thomas Farrow, chairman of directors of Farrow’s Bank, Frederick T. Hart, accountant, and William W. Crotch, accountant, were.charged with making, cir dilating, and publishing, and concurring in making, circulating, and publishing n written statement and account-name-ly the 16th annual report and balancesheet, dated June 30, 1920-of the bank which they know to be .,[ al ? e . l material particulars, with 1 . duce depositors and investors to entrust and advance moneys and valuable securities to tho bank. Specific charges were made in respect of a statement in the balance-sheet that among the assets was £2 473 012 13s. 9d., representing loans and advances to customers, etc., and also in regard to a sum of £780,000 which was said to be the value of certain land in Cambridgeshire belonging to the bank.]
