ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
The weekly meeting of the Wellington Football Association was held last evening at the Y.M.C.A. rooms. Present: Mr. W. Auld (chairman), Messrs. R. Hendry, f-P. Banks, H. Liversage, H. L. Godber, C. Webster, L. White, H. Yeoman, and A. Williams. Much discussion took place with regard to the playing of-cup matches during tho championship games. It was found impracticable to do so this season, and the matter was left over till tho annual meeting of delegates next season. Messrs. AV. Auld, L. White, and H. Liver-age were appointed delegates to the Sports Protection League with reference to the proposed memorial to members of sports bodies who made the supreme sacrifice during the late war. The memorial is to be erected at the Wellington Cathedral. The Wanganui Association wrote asking that the Brown Shield match v. Wellington be played at - Wanganui on July 2 instead of at Wellington. The matter was held over till next meeting. Challenges were receiver! from tho Otago and Palmerston North Schools’ Association. The transfer of W. Johnstone from Institute to tho Waterside Athletic Club was, granted. The Porirua Club (fourth division) aro to be asked why two of their players signed on-for two different clubs. SCHOOL FIXTURES. Marist (N.), Newtown Park; Mr. E. Shaw; Northland A v. Wadestown, Anderson Park, Mr. S. Bertram; Newtown v. Ngaio, Kelburn, Mr. B. Leadsman.
