DECONTROL OF AGRICULTURE
DECIDED ON BY BRITISH CABINET (Rec. June 8, 5.5 p.m.) London, June 7. The "Daily Express’’ states that Cabinet has decided to decontrol agriculture, both with reference to the guaranteed prices to farmers and wages. The decision has caused a sensation amongst the masters and men, who declare it is a. broach of faith which will result in chaos and turmoil. It is believed that the Wages Board will be permitted to continue a sufficient time to permit, the necessary adjustments, but the guarantee for wheat and oats will disappear when the present crops are harvested. The decision is attributed to the financial crisis, and has been precipitated by the ooal crisis.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
