An impressive Anzac Day memorial service was held in tho Greytown Town Hall on Monday mprnirjg. The service was conducted bv the Rev. A. M. Castairs (Methodist), Mr. P. M'G. Murray (Presbyterian), and Rev. G. W. Dent (Church of England). The National Anthem and hymns "Rock of Ages" and "Lead Kindly Light” were sung. At the conclusion of tho service Mr. Rees played the “Last Post - ” and the "Reveille.” The congregation included a large number of veterans, cadets, and scouts. The cenotaph was decorated with handsome wreaths. The Board of Trade awarded a pair o'f 'binoculars to Edward Charles Davis, cadet, of tho steamer Ansgin, in appreciation of his services in carrying a lifeline ashore when that vessel was wrecked near Penzance during the night of .December 1-2, 1920.
