COMPETITION FOR TUSON ’CUP. The Turon Cup competition was played on Saturday at Heretaunga between the Wellington and Christchurch Golf Clubs, the home team winning by the narrow margin of one game. B. B. Wood s play was a feature of the match Colonel Chesney and P. B. Cooke also played sterling golf. Following are the scores:— 1 wo-ball matches: B. B. Wood (C.) defeated A. J. Abbott (W.). 4 and 3; IL O Chesney (W.) defeated B. C. Rutherford (C.), •> ’and 4; W. A. Humphreys (C.) defeated J. B AlacEwa.il (W.), 3 and J- C. Templet- (C.) defeated O. J. Wilson (W.). 2 and 1; H. AV. Maefarlane (C.) defeated k. D. Duncan (AV.), 1 up; P. B. Cooke (W.l defeated D. 0. Whyte (C.), 9 and 7; l. Bonnington (C.) defeated AA . H. G'race (AV.) 2 up; A. R. Sclanders (AV.), defeated AV. ilarman (C.), 3 and 1. Fourballs: Abbott and Chesney (AV.) defeated AA’cod and Rutherford (C.). 2 and 1; Mac-Ewan and AVilson (AV.) defeated Humphreys and Templer (C.), 3 and'l; Dniica.ii and Cooke (AV.) defeated Maefarlane and Whyte (C.), 3 and 1; Grace and Sclanders (AV.) and Bonnington and Harman (C.), all square.
