Authority has been given for the maximum Victoria Cross annuity, which may be granted where the ex-soldier is incapacitated by age or infirmity, to bo increase from .850 to £75 a year, and for tho grant of the annuity np to the same maximum to be extended to ex-officcre. Since 1884 the annuity- granted with the Victoria Cross has been £lO, increased to a maximum of £.50 where the recipient is incapacitated. An officer winning the Crow does not got the .£lO annuity.
