JitNUARY’S NEW BECOBD. Although the tramway system continues to break its own records every month as far as revenue is concerned, these increases are, as a rule, beaten by the rise in working expenses. The record lor the month of January is a case in point. Whilst the revenue for the four weeks ended February 2 was £<l3ol greater tnan that of the corresponding period of 1920, the working expenses increased by The figures for tho expired 44 weeks of the financial year show the drift <-veil more strikingly.
