THISTLE CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Thistle Football Club was held on Thursday, and was attended by .’tn enthusiastic gather, ing, comprising old and new members The balance-sheet for last season, as sub. mitted by the secretary, showed the club to be in a fairly good financial position, nnd was passed unanimously. It was decided to send both a senior and a junior team to W.anganui at Easter, and all players willing to travel were asked to send their names to the secretary imme. diately. The election of officers resulted as follows :—President, Mr. Richard Dwyer; vice-presidents, Messrs. Battersby, M'Lcan, Currie, !•'. M’Parland, Glover, Monro, Kinniburgh, I’ullyn, Oakes, Stev. enson, Sutherland, Bannister, Ballar.tyne, M'Arthur, Dolison, J. M’Parland, Hendle, Millar, Needham, Shannon, Revell, Ferguson, Taylor, Cowan, Brpwn, M'Millan, Cook, M’Whirter, Jardine, M'Ardle, Perkins, Simpson, Stevens, Stewart, Wilson; management and selection committee, .Messrs. Campbell, Dunean, R. Jardine, Fbrguson, M'Ardle, M'Lellan, and Hands; delegate.? to W.F.A., Messrs. Bannister, M'Ardle, and Sutherland; auditors, Messrs. Bannister and Sutherland; secretary and treasurer, Mr. Hector Smith; junior secretary, Mr. R. E. Small. The club is looking forward to a most successful season, both from a playing nnd a financial point of view. It is stated that good progress has already been made Zith the 'building up of both the senior nnd the junior teams,, most of last season’s players having already signed, besides several new ones.
