The B grade contest was continued last" evening, when the first test selection was played. The judge, Mr. G. Buckley, announced the result as follows —Palmerston North, 12G points, 1; Marton, 123 points, 2; Hamilton, 122 points, 3; Dannevirke, 121 points, 4; Hastings, 117 points, 5; Temperance Guards, 115 points, 6; Auckland Coast, 114 points, 7. „ , Side-drum Solo.-H. Millier (Hastings), 58 points, 1; C. Zell (Palmerston North), 57 points, 2; AV. Carmichael (Palmerston Sorth), points, 3. Bass-drum Solo.-Kilmartm (Palmerston North), 58 points, 1; I'/ 01 * 1 ” (Hastings), 56 points, 2; C. Marsden (Marton), 55 points, 3.
