Owing to a mishap to a steam-pipe on the fore-deck of the steamer, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner P&pa-i-oa was unable t-o leave Wellington yesterday morning for .London and Hull, via Panama. Tho damage was not extensive, however, and the liner moved to the stream at noon. She sailed later in the afternoon, taking the following passengers:—Saloon: Misses Burton, Brown, Chanman, Clark.2, Cooper, Hooker, Curryer, Mallinson, Mansfield, O'Donohue (2), Redgrave, (2). The Union Company’s steamer Moeraki is due to-day from Lyttelton, and is to sail at 6 o'clock to-night for Sydney and Hobart. TREYLON AT AUCKLAND. Tho Treyion, coming to the agency of the Federal Line, arrived at Auckland, yesterday from New York. She is expected here about Saturday week. THE CANADIAN WINNER. Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Company advise thjt the Canadian Government steamer Canadian W inner left Melbourne on Tuesday for Auckland, -where she is due on Sunday. The Canadian Winner will not' visit Wellington now, but will sail from Auckland for Vancouver direct on Friday week. PAKEHA’S SAILING DATE. The Pakeha, loading for Home, is not expected here from Picton until Saturday. Sfle should sail for London, about February 26. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain S. Nicholson, of the /teamer Karu, which is under overhaul at Lyttelton, is on a holiday visit to Wellington. Mr. L. G. H. Ward, purser of the R.M.b. WAIWERA LOADING FOR HOME. The S.S. and A. Line advise that the Wafwera Is expected to leave Auckland for Gisborne on February 26. She is timed to leave for London on March 2. TARAWERA LEAVES SYDNEY. The Tarawera was dispatched '.from Sydney at noon on Saturday for Bluff. Dunedin, and Wellington. She is bringing full shipment of general and transhipment cargo, and should arrive here about February 23. She is timed to sail on the return trip to Sydney the following day. PORT HACKING’S MOVEMENTS. The C and D. liner Port Hacking is to leave Auckland at noon to-day for Napier and Wellington. She has New I ork cargo for discharge, and is due here next Wednesday. After discharge of the Wellington portion of her cargo she will leave for Lyttelton and Dunedin. WANGARATTA FOR FALMOUTH. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner. Wangaratta. is due to sail to-day for Falmouh. She should go into the stream at daylight, and sail later. (TAIROA AT LONDON. The-Jlunjara. which is loading for Home, is to leave Wanganui on Friday at noon Tor Napier. From Nanier the vessel will come to Wellington, and sail from here for London. THIS WEEK’S SYDNEY BOAT. The Moana, is to leave Sydney on Friday for Wellington. She is due here on Tuesday. The General Steamship Corporation’s steamer Lab Vegas is to load general cargo, timber, and a quantity of gasoline at San Francisco at the end of this month for Lvttelton and Dunedin. The Rimutaka is due at Wellington from Auckland to continue discharge on Monday next. The Huia is exnected to sail to-morrow for Picton and Wanganui. The John is due at Lyttelton to-day from Nvdia Bay. After discharge she loads at Oatnaru and Tiniaru for Wellington, and for Wanganui. The auxiliary schooner Echo, which is undergoing repairs at Blenheim, is not exnected t-o resume for several weeks. The Knnna has been further delayed • at Auckland, and is not due until Saturday She will not sail for Lyttelton and Dunedin until Monday. The Kaifuna is to lord cement at Whnngarci this week for Wellington. From here she will vo to Greymouth The Invercargill, due to-day from Wanganui. will not return to that port until Monday. She will sail to-night for Picton to losd sheep, being due back on Saturday. The Runhine is due on Saturday from Nnnicr. to complete loading. The K.aitnngaita and Kittawa started work vesterday.
