The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruahine is due at 9 am. to clay Irom London and Southampton. 11 granted pratique she bhculd berth at Ko. 1 Queen’s Wharf at about 1 o’clock. WAIWEHA’S MOVEMENTS. The S.S. and A. liner Waiwera, which left Durt-sn on December S 4, en route from England to Australia, arrived at Sydney last Sunday. After visiting Newcastle and Suva, she will come to Auckland, at which port she is due on January 31. She is timed to sail for London from the northern port on February 12. RAMA SHELTERING. According to a wireless message received by Mr. E. G. F. Zohrab yesterday, the Rama was sheltering at Whangaroa, Chatham Islands, on Monday. In consequence shp will not arrive here until to-morrow, or Friday. COAL FROM NEWCASTLE. The Railway Wharf has lately been very idle, and few vessels have been berthed there, but within the next few days this wharf should once more resume its usual animated appearance. On Friday the Garbeta, which left Newcastle on Saturday, and the Waipori should both arrive in port-,, and each has a shipment of Newcastle coal for discharge here. The Kaitangata and Durham are due from the Australian coal port to-day, while the Port Stephens arrived last night. OROSBY HALL FROM ENGLAND. . The S.S. and A. Line have received advice that the Crosby Hall left the West Coast of England on Friday last, bound for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers. She should be at Auckland about February 28, aud here seven days later. BLACKBALL COLLIERS. The Ngahere should be here about Saturday from Greymouth, and after discharge is .to return to that port to load for Gisborne. The Ngakuta arrived at Newcastle on Saturday. The Ngatoro, at present at Napier, is to come here next week. PORT STEPHENS IN PORT. With a shipment of coal for discharge here, the C. and D. liner Port Stephens arrived last night from Newcastle. When she jins put her cargo out she will return to Australia to load for Home. SCALES’ SAILERS. The Raupo. which has been at Newcastle for over u pionth waiting for coal, is tp dommlenco loading the balance of her cargo to-day. and should sail for Wellington on Friday or Saturday. The Ysabel left San Francisco on Saturday for Los Angeles, where she is to load for New Zealand. MANUKA FOR SYDNEY. The Union Company’s steamer Manuka sailed last night for Lyttelton, from which port she is due back to-morrow. She will sail at 3 p.m. to-morrow for Sydney. THE VANCOUVER BOATS. Providing the Makura can get away from Sydney in time, she is to leave Auckland on January 25 for Vancouver. The Niagara will leave Auckland on February 22 for Vancouver. TOFUA’S MOVEMENTS. The Union Company’s steamer Tofua is timed to leave Sydney to-morrow for Auckland, and will leave the northern port on the return trip on January 27. TARA.WERA FROM SYDNEY. The local office of the Union Company has not yet received advice as to when the T.wawera left Sydney, but the head office has advised that she should leave Dunedin on January 25 lor Wellington, and is due here two days later. She is not visiting Lyttelton. U.S. AND A. STEAMERS. . The Donald Mackay left New York on December 30 for New Zealand and Australia. She will be followed by the Canastota, Iceland, and Liberty. SOMERSET FROM SYDNEY. A cable message received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that tho liner Somerset left Sydney at 2 p.m. on Saturday for Wellington. The vessel is expected to arrive here on Thursday. NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING CO LINERS. The following units of tho New Zealand Shipping Company's fleet should be in port within the next few weeks, either loading or discharging:—Ruahine, January 19; Somerset, January 20; Trevalgan, January 23; Orari, January 27; Wangaratta., January 28; Paparoa, February 2; Uororata, February 3; Opawa, February lOj Otarama. February 13; and Eimutaka, February 20. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. E. A. Burton has joined the Opawa as mate, vice Mr. W. M'Klnnon. Mr. A. Andrews has joined the Manuka as fifth engineer. Mr. R. Mentiplay, third engineer cf the Manuka, has left that vessel. Captain Robertson, late of the Devon, has command of the Cornwall; Captain Evans, of Antarctic fame, has charge of the Waiotapu; and Captain Paul is aboard the Waikouaiti. The Blenheim is due on Friday from Havelock, and will sail the same day for Picton for a cargo of sheep. The Arawa will sail to-morrow for Napier, not to-day. The John will not return to Wellington. From Tiarakohe . sho will .proceed to Wanganui, returning to Tarakohe to load for Lyttelton. The Port Melbourne 1b to sail to-day for Lyttelton. Tho Karamu arrived yesterday with coal from Greymouth, and will return to that port to-morrow. The Cape Natal has been further delayed, and her departure again postponed. She should sail to-day for Dunedin. The Port Nicholson is to leave port next Sunday for Gisborne. On her trip from Napier and Gishorne to Auckland on Saturday, the Mararoa will call at Tokomaru Bay. On account of the Kanna’s late arrival from Auckland, via Napier, she will not leave for Lyttelton until to-morrow. The West Mahwah is to sail to day for New Plymouth.
